Birthday Countdown Craft

Thursday
February 5, 2009

*UPDATE* I found this idea at http://bobbicamacho.blogspot.com/. When I first posted this I couldn't remember where I saw it. Today, she left me a comment on one of my postings so I went to look at her blog...I came across it! YEAH...

Meara will be turning five this month. Today she made a cupcake countdown to keep track of how many days she has left until the BIG day...sniff...sniff!

She loves to use my cutter. She is always asking me if she can cut scrap paper with it. I let her cut the links for the countdown.

She glued down real sprinkles to her cupcake. Her favorite on ice cream!

  2. That is a perfect idea. My kids are always asking how many more days until my birthday. I know we will be doing this.

  3. What a great idea. My 4 year old is already asking me when she will be 5. Her birthday isn't until June. This might be a good thing for us to do in May when the questions of WHEN WHEN WHEN will really kick into high gear!

  4. DUDE!!
This is really a great idea for youngsters! I may have to copy your cupcake idea but change it up a little...like using candles that come off the cupcakes top when day is counted off so that on their birthday all the candles would be gone or maybe the flames of the candles would be gone..something like that!! hmmm
    Cool idea girly-girl!!

  6. What a great idea for your daughter to be able to have a part in creating her own birthday countdown. I love this idea and I think I might do this for my daughter when her 3-year old birthday gets a little closer.

Thanks for leaving such sweet comments on my Blue Eyed Blessings blog.
