We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day as a family which turned out to be WONDERFUL! We thought it would be nice to make it a favorite things we love day. We each picked out something that was our favorite thing to do and eat. For the food we drove around to our favorite places and got take out and took it home.
One of mine and Mike's favorite...bowling
Meara wanted to snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie.
My favorite...Olive Garden Salad
since the take out came with breadsticks we decided
to get one of our other favorites tomorrow
Red Lobster biscuits...YUMO! ;-)
Meara's favorite...Papa Murphy's Pizza
We also watched a program about Abraham Lincoln on National Geographic Channel. (He's my favorite president)
On the same day as the historic inauguration of the United States first African American president, NGC tells the fascinating story of the life of Abraham Lincoln and his struggle to abolish slavery. We'll follow Lincoln's journey from his early years as a rising politician, to his run for presidency and his fight to unite the country in the Civil War.

What a great idea to do things that you all LOVE. Maybe next year, we'll all four choose one thing each to do on Valentine's Day. Sounds fun!
oooo...olive garden salad. wish we had one near us! I am hoping to get the post of the lapbook together this week. Email me back - I have a few great links for you on lapbooking. :)

P.S. If you ever want copies of some of the templates I have made for a lapbook, just e-mail me (button on side bar). :0)
Very nice lapbook Heather! Thanks for sharing it with me! It's a great way to teach your daughter about her heritage. I look forward to whatever else you may pull together in the future!
